Learn About SSL Certificates & How To Use It Via The Shared Web Hosting Control Panel

Quick Intro

Web Host Most provides you with a forever Free SSL Certificate supported by Lets Encrypt. You can also set up an SSL Certificate you purchased from another SSL provider or us.

SSL Certificate provides a secure connection between the server and your browser, encrypting your traffic to prevent data breaches and other unwanted situations.

Important To Know Before You Begin

The Web Server automatically renews the SSL certificate every 59 days.

Several options are available to you that cover all of your needs to manage the SSL Certificate.

You can choose the Key Size when requesting a Free SSL. You can also choose the Certificate Type.

NOTE: The server has pre-defined options to meet the best practices for the security and speed of your domain. We do not recommend changing the default settings, unless you understand what you are doing.

When you assign a new domain name to your Web Control Panel, the SSL Certificate automatically generates for your domain. It may take up to 5 minutes for the successful SSL creation.

Requesting Free SSL Certificate

From your Web Control Panel navigate to: Security Management > SSL Certificates > Select the "Get automatic certificate from ACME Provider" tab > Select desired "Certificate Entries" > Click "Save" and wait for the process to complete.

Adding An External (Commercial) SSL Certificate

Besides Free SSL, you can also add any other existing SSL Certificate that you purchased separately.

From your Web Control Panel, navigate to Security Management > SSL Certificates > Select "Paste a pre-generated certificate and key" tab > Add your SSL Certificate credentials by pasting your external SSL > Click Save.
